The Ritual
Some moments deserve to be remembered.
Not because they are perfect.
Because they are turning points.
A moment when you have hopes you have not yet fulfilled.
Dreams you have not yet reached.
Adventures you have not yet lived.
Tonight, you will capture this moment in time and entrust it to the future.

1. Choose the Date
Before beginning, decide when your letter will be opened.
Six months from now.
One year from now.
Five years from now.
Write the opening date on an envelope and place it beside you.

2. Mark the Moment
Light the Cedar and Purple Sinuata bundle.
As the aroma fills the room, take a moment to appreciate where you are in life today.
The people around you.
The dreams in your heart.
The questions you are carrying.
This moment will never exist again exactly as it is now.

Light the Palo Santo.
Close your eyes and imagine yourself on the day your letter will be opened.
Where are you?
What has changed?
What has surprised you?
What are you most grateful for?
Allow yourself to visit that future version of your life.

Take your time.
Write freely.
Tell your future self about the life you are living today.
Share your hopes.
Your wishes.
Your goals.
Your fears.
Your excitement.
The things you never want to forget.
Write as though you are sending a gift through time.

5. Seal the Message
Hold the Selenite in your hands.
Read the final line of your letter aloud.
Then fold it, place it inside the envelope, and seal it.
The message is now complete.

6. Entrust It to Time
Place the envelope somewhere safe.
Beside a meaningful object.
Inside a memory box.
At the back of a drawer.
Wherever it feels right.
Leave the Selenite nearby for the next seven days as a reminder of the promise you have made to yourself.
One day, the letter will return.
And when it does, it will reveal just how far you have come.
